  1.  13:1  There were present at that season some that told him of
  2. the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their
  3. sacrifices.
  4.  13:2  And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that
  5. these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because
  6. they suffered such things?
  7.  13:3  I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all
  8. likewise perish.
  9.  13:4  Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell,
  10. and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men
  11. that dwelt in Jerusalem?
  12.  13:5  I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all
  13. likewise perish.
  14.  13:6  He spake also this parable; A certain [man] had a fig
  15. tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit
  16. thereon, and found none.
  17.  13:7  Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold,
  18. these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and
  19. find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
  20.  13:8  And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this
  21. year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung [it]:
  22.  13:9  And if it bear fruit, [well]: and if not, [then] after
  23. that thou shalt cut it down.
  24.  13:10  And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the
  25. sabbath.
  26.  13:11  And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of
  27. infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in
  28. no wise lift up [herself].
  29.  13:12  And when Jesus saw her, he called [her to him], and
  30. said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
  31.  13:13  And he laid [his] hands on her: and immediately she was
  32. made straight, and glorified God.
  33.  13:14  And the ruler of the synagogue answered with
  34. indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day,
  35. and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought
  36. to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the
  37. sabbath day.
  38.  13:15  The Lord then answered him, and said, [Thou] hypocrite,
  39. doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or [his]
  40. ass from the stall, and lead [him] away to watering?
  41.  13:16  And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham,
  42. whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from
  43. this bond on the sabbath day?
  44.  13:17  And when he had said these things, all his adversaries
  45. were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious
  46. things that were done by him.
  47.  13:18  Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and
  48. whereunto shall I resemble it?
  49.  13:19  It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took,
  50. and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree;
  51. and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.
  52.  13:20  And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom
  53. of God?
  54.  13:21  It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three
  55. measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
  56.  13:22  And he went through the cities and villages, teaching,
  57. and journeying toward Jerusalem.
  58.  13:23  Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be
  59. saved? And he said unto them,
  60.  13:24  Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say
  61. unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
  62.  13:25  When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath
  63. shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock
  64. at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall
  65. answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
  66.  13:26  Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in
  67. thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
  68.  13:27  But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye
  69. are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
  70.  13:28  There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye
  71. shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets,
  72. in the kingdom of God, and you [yourselves] thrust out.
  73.  13:29  And they shall come from the east, and [from] the west,
  74. and from the north, and [from] the south, and shall sit down in
  75. the kingdom of God.
  76.  13:30  And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and
  77. there are first which shall be last.
  78.  13:31  The same day there came certain of the Pharisees,
  79. saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will
  80. kill thee.
  81.  13:32  And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox,
  82. Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow,
  83. and the third [day] I shall be perfected.
  84.  13:33  Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the
  85. [day] following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of
  86. Jerusalem.
  87.  13:34  O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and
  88. stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have
  89. gathered thy children together, as a hen [doth gather] her
  90. brood under [her] wings, and ye would not!
  91.  13:35  Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and
  92. verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until [the time]
  93. come when ye shall say, Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name
  94. of the Lord.
